There will probably be alternatives in 5yrs time, as you've said. I hope so. I blog, but don't like Twitter much. Maybe ought to use it more than I do. Don't see how it's of much use when there are a bazillion tweets and not enough time to pay attention to them. I follow only a few on Twitter, those that are useful as resources and tweet useful-to-me info... and a couple just for fun. I suck at Twitter but don't much care that I do. P.S.
